Material vs workmanship

A manufacturer warranty and an installer workmanship warranty are different. Ask for both documents when relevant.

Look for exclusions

Ponding, structural movement, later penetrations, maintenance, third-party damage or unapproved repairs may be excluded.

Document the handover

Keep product names, batch or invoice information, photos, test records, installer details and the exact warranty start date.
