Use an appropriate product

Do not assume a roof coating is suitable for contact with drinking water. Ask for manufacturer documentation covering the intended use and required approvals.

Preparation and testing

Cracks, corners, pipe penetrations and concrete surfaces need preparation before the membrane or coating is applied. Test the completed system according to the product instructions before returning the tank to service.

Pricing

Tank work should not be priced by roof rates alone. Access, repairs, detailing, curing and testing can materially change the scope.
